Tuesday DV Ride
The ride starts at 5:30 pm from Bear Creek High School near Thornton Rd. and Eight Mile Rd., just east of 1-5. Google Map
Tuesday night rides start in March, at the start of daylight savings time, and end in the Fall, at the end of daylight savings time.
This is a speedy workout of about 35-40 miles. Pace often reflects the fitness levels of those actively training and/or tuning for upcoming events--that means the closer we get to August, the faster it gets. This is a popular ride, so turnouts of 20+ riders are common. Pace-line discipline and group-riding etiquette are strictly enforced for safety of all riders. Everyone is welcome, but if you lack experience in tight packs, please make it known before the start so we can brief you on a few things and possibly assign you a rider to shadow.
Camanche Loop (The Boathouse)
Mostly rolling hills. Park outside the fence of the market. Head East and ride this loop counterclockwise.
Wallace Loop
Mostly rolling hills with some sustained climbing. Start the loop clock wise. Once in Jackson, the small Clinton/Mtn Butte Rd. loop runs counter clockwise. Then continue South on 49. It's a good stretch of HWY for bikes. In Mokelemne Hill, turn right on 26 then right on Paloma Rd. Stay Right on Campo Seco Rd. Continue on Chile Camp Rd. and backtrack back to Walace.
Stockton/Walnut Grove Loop
Flat, great ride for tempo work. Very Scenic with great views of the Delta.
